Does the function in question 2 need a specific name?

As well does k need to be an input for the function, or should we make
an arbitrary list within the question? And if so how many numbers
should we have?

Question 2 wants a program. That is, we will just run your python code.

It's not a function (but could include functions)!

Therefore, k is whatever you want it to be.
